On Wikipedia they claim that Gilles Peterson invented this Acid Jazz genre in the mid 1980’s which then spread to America thanks to promoters Bernstein and Rudnick.

So The synagogue of Satan who think they speak for Black Music of the 20th Century because they print This is Acid Jazz all over SOUL/R&B claim that Jamiroquai play FUNK and a music genre called Acid Jazz a Genre which none of us have ever heard of. THEY THINK THEY CAN FOOL PEOPLE ON FUNK AND SPEAK FOR BLACK MUSIC. Well as I keep saying ask Eddie Pillar or Gilles Peterson to tell you which track on any Jamiroquai album is a Black music genre invented by former Invicta FM DJ Gilles Peterson. After the SOULHEAD TALES classified all the Jamiroquai tracks into their correct styles of FUNK leaving them nowhere to run they then switched to claiming that Jamiroquai play FUNK and Acid Jazz! That’s because They still think they can fool people into believing Acid Jazz is a actually a genre in it’s own right. There is no such thing as a Black music genre called club jazz or acid jazzĪt first they tried to claim that Jamiroquai play Acid Jazz.

Nearly 30 years later they now claim all these Black American Rare Groove and disco era sounds were invented here in London in the late 1980’s by the co-creator of Acid Jazz record Gilles Peterson who has never had a hit in his life. So no one in 1990’s Acid Jazz records is going to fool any of us 1970’s Funksters on any of these sounds!Ĭultural appropriation- 100% FUNK-Reclassified by Eddie Pillar as “Acid Jazz” And by Soul to Soul who brought back the old Cymande (Brothers on the side) Drumbeat also heard on Donald Byrd (Dominoes) via James Brown, fusing it with Temptation, Denis Edwards (Don’t Look any Further). As I said the template of fusing the old 70’s sounds together had already been started by the Pasadena’s with tracks like (Tribute).

It was around this time that Eddie Pillar and his mob jumped on the bandwagon and started their cultural appropriation campaign of indoctrinating the youth into believing all these old Jazz Funk, Soul, Rare Groove sounds were called 100% Acid Jazz. Many of the younger generation who didn’t like Jungle, House or the Brit Pop sound turned to Rare Groove (Retro 70’s Funk). It was like being back in the 1970’s/80’s in some parts of London at least. Delegation and Pleasure the latter who didn’t really get much airplay in the 70’s were a big hit among the kids of the era.

Once again you could hear the likes of Patrice Rushen, Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd and the Mizzel Brothers sound especially blasting out of windows all over London town. People were dissatisfied with the sound at the turn of the decade so went back to the old pre Disco era sound Jazz Funk.

In the late 1980’s the pirate radio airwaves of London were once again full of 70’s Funk. The Funk as we had known it was more or less dead. The Funk had become more and more watered down during the late 1980’s and the sample filled “New Jack Swing” era which began around 1986/87 was the final straw. There had been a big demand for retro 1970’s Jazz, Funk and Soul (Sometimes called Rare Groove) since the late 1980’s when bands like The Pasadenas and Soul to Soul brought back many of these old sounds. The Background, The late 1980’s into the early 1990’s…. There is nothing, no style of music on any Jamiroquai album that I do not recognize form my era 1970’s/1980’s. Part of their Global disinformation campaign as seen on Wikipedia. They don’t have a clue about any of the 1970’s Giants Jamiroquai stole from and is either an outsider who knows nothing about Black Music or is a liar. Any so called “Music writer” or new millennial “expert” who has ever described this or any style of Black music as a 1980’s London genre called “Acid Jazz” simply doesn’t know what FUNK is. The only people who claim there is have no knowledge of the Groove and have nothing to do with Black culture. As you will see from my review there is nothing here or on any of their plagiarized albums called “Acid Jazz”. It takes in many of the old 1970’s sounds which were being played on pirate radio stations and in certain clubs in the late 80’s and during the early 1990’s. This album released in 1993 and classified as Acid Jazz by Eddie Pillar is straight forward SOUL/R&B. Zero.ĪND YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR THE LEGACY OF JAMES BROWN. You have created no Black sound and you own NOTHING of the spiritual vibrations of FUNK. Get out of our culture and take your satanic name off of The Good Groove. You have no right to erase over 60 years of SOUL/R&B and rebrand it as Acid Jazz. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO WALK INTO BLACK CULTURE AND RE-CLASSIFY BLACK AMERICAN & BLACK BRITISH SOUL.
